Introduction:
AWS ENi-C1 is a kind of cast iron welding electrode with pure nickel core wire and strong reducibility graphite type coating. Whe welding, the preheating of the weldments can be left out. It has excellet crak-resistance and machinability. Due to the nickel, it can only be selected when other kinds of electrodes are not suitable. AC/DC.
Application:
Used for repair welding on thin cast iron pieces and machined surfaces, such as some key gray cast iron pieces like engine bearers, guide rails of machine tools, pinion stands, etc.
Instruction:
1. The electrodes must be baked under about 150º C for an hour before welding.
2. By harmmering the weld, the stress in the welded areas can be eliminated and cracks can be avoided.
