AWS A5.4 E309L-16


Description:

AWS E309L-16 is a kind of ultra-low-carbon Cr23Ni13 stainless steel electrode with lime-titania type coating. AC/DC. Due to the low carbon content, it can still resist intercrystalline corrosion led to by carbide precipitation without any stabilizers like Nb, Ti, etc.

 

Application:
Used for stainless steel structures of the same types, composite steel, dissimilar steel, etc. in the production of equipment of synthetic fiber, petrochemical industry, etc., and also used for transition layers of pressure vessel inner surfaces and welding inner parts of synthesis towers.
Instruction:
Before welding the rod should be baked at the temperauture from  300ºC to 350ºC for 1 hour.Should use small current and short arc,and swaying board less than 2.5 times of diameter the core rod is better.
